Eureka 158th Anniversary Celebrations
The battle of the Eureka Stockade in Ballarat East on Sunday 3 December 1854 has become a powerful symbol of democracy and the spirit of freedom in Australia.
Every year, Ballarat commemorates the events of Eureka with a program of activities with something for everyone, from talks and historical lectures to commemorative walks and dinners.

4:00am Dawn Ceremony Eureka Park (Next to old Eureka Memorial)
6:00am Breakfast Eureka Hall (Bring your own food and drinks)
9:00am March from Eureka Park to Bakery Hill to reaffirm Eureka Oath
9:30am Presentation Eureka Australia Day medals at Bakery Hill
10:30am Eureka Flag raising ceremony outside Ballarat Town Hall
11:00am Walk to Old Ballarat Cemetery to pay respect to all those who died in the Eureka Battle who are buried at the Old Ballarat Cemetery (please bring flowers)
Midday Walk from Old Ballarat Cemetery after light lunch (bring own Food and drinks) to Ballarat Art Gallery to view restored Eureka Flag
12:30pm View Eureka Flag and discussion at Art Gallery of Ballarat.
1:00pm Walk back through Ballarat to Eureka Park for late lunch and conversation (bring own food and drink)
